Things I learned in 2011 #7 appreciate little things

"Half the joy of life is in little things taken on the run. Let us run if we must-even the sands do that-but let us keep our hearts young and our eyes open so that nothing worth our while shall escape us. And everything is worth its while if we can only grasp it and its significance."
-Victor Cherbuliez

Little things are put together to make bigger things. Big things are put together to make our lives.

Things I learned in 2011 #6 Be different

Not to sound cliché, but...

Get to know yourself. Discover your likes & dislikes. Befriend people you get along with. Do only what makes you happy. Dare to be different.

Be who you really are.

Things I learned in 2011 #5 The world is filled with opportunities

“When one door closes another door opens, but we so often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door, that we do not see the ones which open for us.”
- Alexander Graham Bell

The quote says it all. There is nothing more I can say.

Things I learned in 2011 #4 Patience

Don't expect the world to change in a second after making your decision. Changes don't just happen overnight. Be patient. It's going to take time for the sun to shine after the darkness.

Things I learned in 2011 #3 Take baby steps

I had a habit of setting goals for myself . Writing a list of dozen goals that I wanted to achieve that month, but ending up reaching none.

However, I realized that my overwhelmed brain was unable to process those many goals at the same time.

so if you want to achieve your goals...

Take small steps every single day

and they will be easier :)
